Here's a bit about our group - from the Marco Island Eagle.

First Meeting - September 27, 2010

Wildlife Lovers - Eco Marco is the new group dedicated to helping residents and guests appreciate and preserve native wildlife on our beautiful island. All are welcome (including kids!) to our first public lecture and meet-up, Monday, September 27, 7 - 8:30 pm, at Keller Williams Realty meeting room, 713 Bald Eagle Drive. The topic will be the gopher tortoise - one of Marco's unique wildlife treasures. Researcher Julie Ross will speak, you'll meet one of the gopher tortoise's cousins, and you'll enjoy slides and refreshments. Come and meet other wild Marco people!
